When a project is finished, it’s fun to look back and see the whole transformation, from where we started to the complete new look. Today, I’m sharing before and after images of a Living Room Project we recently completed. It’s a great example of the impact a few new elements and some beautiful wallpaper can have on a space.

I met this couple on Facebook over a year ago. We had so many random friends in common that I had to reach out. Turns out we are both from Long Island and grew up 2 towns away from each other. They had just moved to Jupiter, FL and purchased a new house. They reached out to me for some help and I was willing and able.

Together they both wanted a little glam and shine and we delivered. The sectional we purchased has a high quality fabric that is considered good for indoor/outdoor use. This type of fabric is durable and has come a long way in the past several years.

We painted the ceiling and paneling a bright white to freshen up the space. The black trim along the roman shades is what we did to bring the black “up” visually. We used a lot of different textures and patterns. The black velvet chairs are super cozy, limestone top over sized coffee table and the geometric pattern of the rugs ties in perfectly with the black and white pillows.

The wallpaper we selected is unbelievable. It is a grasscloth with silver thread running through it. It has such a beautiful shine and texture that in my opinion it is the star of the space.

I was very happy they agreed to remove the fan and replace it with a Moravian Star light fixture.  The bronze nail heads on the sectional, shiny stainless steel frame of the chairs, the lattice style pattern on the TV console and the turning of the coffee table legs is what takes this space to the next level.

By updating the furniture, rugs and decor in this room, we created  a space that better meets the needs of this family. It is a perfect space for them to relax and unwind and glam enough for entertaining.

XOXO
