I love good "before-and-after" shots to really help bring a transformation home.  Recently, I was hired to renovate a pool cabana. The owner lives in Chicago and has a beautiful condo overlooking the ocean in Jupiter, FL, which he visits a few times a year. He purchased this cabana....and it needed a good overhaul! Honestly, this was a very difficult and time consuming "little" project. The smallest jobs typically give the most headaches. The cabana is an older building so there were several plumbing and electrical challenges. We added a chair rail moulding around the room to help break up the two different wallpapers. The client was looking for a tropical beachy feel with soft colors. This was my first time using Corian for the counter tops and it came out really well, I think it is the perfect product for this type of project. We kept the existing floor and we added a chair rail moulding in here as well. The air conditioner will be on 24hrs a day to prevent mold and moisture, which allowed us to use grass cloth wallpaper. The cabinetry came out beautifully! The louvre door adds that tropical touch we were looking for. The mirror hides the electrical panel, which is a real eye sore. It looked so pretty when I left that I couldn't imagine anyone walking on the new rug with wet, sandy feet, but everything is for indoor/outdoor use so it should be fine. The client LOVED it and at the end of the day that's what makes it all worth it!
